Legendary Los Angeles Lakers player Kobe Bryant imparted some insight to Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic.

Luka Doncic, the Dallas Mavericks’ best player, recently appeared on The Old Man and The Three Podcast with JJ Redick, his former partner. Among the many issues they covered was Luka’s relationship with Kobe Bryant. Following one of Luka’s games against the Lakers, the two enjoyed a viral moment, and the star discussed their relationship further.

“Watch out, they are going to come after you because you are from Europe,” Luka says Kobe warned him. They will make an attempt to seize you. It was accurate. On the podcast, Luka talked a lot about the distinctions between NBA and European basketball. A large amount of the discussion was on Kobe’s recommendations for European players hoping to break into the NBA.

Many NBA players looked up to Kobe Bryant growing up, and his concentration on coaching the next generation can be seen in every area of the game. Some of the NBA’s most prominent players have imitated portions of his game. Given that many of them witnessed Kobe’s success as they rose to prominence, this is not surprising. Luka got some advice from Kobe, but it was mostly psychological because he was still new to the league. Because of his unique way of thinking, no one else is better suited to discuss such things than him.

Luka may have had more eyeballs on him early in his career, as Kobe suggested. However, the famous guard has quickly established himself as one of the NBA’s best players. Luka has done an amazing job of following Kobe’s advice and adapting to the NBA. He has always been a contender for MVP of the league.
