Rare McLaren 570GT Supercar with Unique Feathered Wings

The MSO team at McLaren has recently unveiled an unprecedented option package for the 570GT model, known as the Feather Wrap. This exclusive upgrade is the most unique of its kind and is now officially available for purchase.

McLaren ‘s special division MSO used nearly 10,000 man-made carbon fibers to decorate the entire body of the two-door sports car. The process is completely handmade and takes 300 hours to complete.

The 570GT is considered the most suitable supercar of the British automaker to put on this upgrade package to be able to participate in long journeys such as transcontinental flights.

The most impressive feature on this McLaren 570GT is undoubtedly the splendid feathered wing that is extremely useful for aerodynamics, which is also one of nature’s best inventions.

Robin Crane, McLaren Biosafety Specialist, explains: “Our engineers and designers have long drawn inspiration from nature to create cars with the lightest weight that can still be achieved. the highest possible aerodynamics on the road We call this invention natural design.

The inspiration for this particular design came from the pigeons flying around the lake on a beautiful day as they were walking around the McLaren campus, which we took a feather and put on the car. And that’s the reason for this Feather Wrap option.”

The synthetic hairs on the supercar are 7cm long and each is covered with a pearl primer. The feathers are attached to the car in a direction parallel to the length of the car and the hair tip is facing forward, helping to reduce the impact of air flow on the body. The bristles act as grooves that contribute to reduced surface elongation.

As the car accelerates, the feathers begin to vibrate and further reduce air resistance. Moreover, Feather Wrap only makes the car heavier by 2.5kg – equivalent to a layer of metallic paint.

The world’s only Feather Wrap became available to order as an upgrade option for the McLaren 570GT on April 1, 2017. However, because of this McLaren announcement comes on the “Fish” date. April”, so there are still many people who do not believe that this McLaren creation is real.
