The 23-time Grand Slam singles champion debuted her growing baby bump alongside her husband Alexis Ohanian, 40, on the red carpet at the Met Gala in New York City on May 1.

But it turns out she had only just told her five-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia that she was going to be a big sister just hours before the rest of the world did.

In an Instagram post just before heading out to the Met, Williams revealed that she hadn’t shared the pregnancy news with her daughter yet.

‘Olympia does not know right now that I am pregnant, so the big reveal will be at the Met, and then before we leave, I’ll tell Olympia,’ Williams can be heard in the clip, which also features behind-the-scenes peeks at her Met Gala prep — and her positive pregnancy test. ‘The reason I haven’t told her is because she can’t keep a secret.’

She would go on to break the news to her daughter right before she and her husband left to attend the Met Gala in New York City in her custom Gucci gown.

‘I feel pretty good,” she said. ‘I can breathe. I can stop [hiding].’ Williams confessed during the brief chat.

She would go on to shared a carousel of photos of her Met Gala look via Instagram the same night, writing that she ‘was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala.’

The couple, who have been married for more than five years, first welcomed their daughter Alexis Olympia, although she goes by Olympia, on September 1, 2017.

The tennis star hasn’t publicly disclosed her exact due date, however, most women don’t announce their pregnancy until after the first trimester.

With that in mind, if Williams is at least three months pregnant, it is likely that her second child could makes its grand arrival somewhere between August and October, according to Bazaar magazine.
