Unveiling the Powerhouse: 350-Powered 1951 Chevrolet Styleline Sedan

The delivered 1951 Chevrolet Styleline sedan shown has been restored and customized by its previous owner. With the restoration came the addition of a 350ci V8 engine and a Turbo-Hydramatic three-speed automatic gearbox. Red exterior paint and red and black upholstery also improved the vehicle’s look. The improvements that stand out include 15-inch Rally wheels, front disc brakes, an aftermarket wiring harness, electronic ignition by PerTronix, a high-mount BrakeLighter brake light, painted logos from a shop, tinted windows, a windshield visor, and chrome bumpers and trim.

Included with the Sedаn Delivery is the seller’s nаme-engrаved cleаn Virginiа title, tоgether with the оwner’s hаndbооk аnd оther infоrmаtiоn.

The delivery body, which was painted in Thistle Gray (444) when it was new, now has a crimson finish thanks to a makeover during a prior ownership. A chrome grille, bumpers, and beltline trim decorate the exterior, while graphics from the shop adorn the side panels. In addition to tinted windows, a sun visor, and a J&L Enterprises BrakeLighter high-mount brake light mounted in the rear window, the car is equipped with these features.

The tires placed on the silver 15-inch rally wheels are 245/60 Goodyear Eagle STs up front and 275/60 Goodyear Eagle GTIIs in the rear. The wheels also have chrome center caps and polished trim rings. Front disc brakes and rear drum brakes work together to stop the vehicle.

Black button-tufted vinyl door panels contrast with the red button-tufted cloth and vinyl trim that covers the new split bench seat in the cab. The footwells are carpeted in black, and this vehicle comes equipped with Vintage Air temperature control, a center armrest, a lockable glove compartment, and speakers in the back cargo space coupled to a Sanyo tape system.

An 85-mph speedometer, coolant temperature, battery voltage, oil pressure, and fuel level readouts are housed in a Stewart-Warner gauge cluster that is framed by a tarnished three-spoke steering wheel. A Sunpro tachometer sits atop the dashboard. The actual mileage is unknown, however the replacement mechanical odometer, which has five digits, reads 26,000 miles.

Carpeting and button-tufted vinyl side panels adorn the back cargo space. The cargo floor conceals an Optima Red Top battery. If the truck is left unattended for long periods of time, the seller says the battery will drain.

The 350ci V8 was put in by the previous owner and comes equipped with a PerTronix Ignitor II electronic ignition, a Holley Street Dominator intake manifold, a Ron Francis Wire Works wiring harness, and a four-barrel carburetor. In July 2023, the starting was changed.

A three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic gearbox supposedly equipped with a performance shift kit transfers power to the back wheels. The installation of a DynoMax twin exhaust system is complete.
